Drag 101 Full-Face Tutorial Video

It took me forever to edit this beast, but it's finally here!

ree

I've been promising a full-face tutorial for a while, and though I ran into some editing snags along the way, it's finally here! In this video, which is meant to mimic the full makeup demo that I do in my Drag 101 Workshop, I take you through step-by-step, from start to finish, on how I create my drag makeup look. I try to show you some variations along the way of how to add more sparkle or create different effects. I hope you enjoy it!

And remember: these are the techniques that I use, knowing the surfaces and planes of my own face. Take these techniques and play with them to see what works best for your face. You may want stronger lines and less blending. You may want to apply color differently. This is just a video to get you started!

One thing I've found is that some people want to tell you "the rules." This is the right way, this is the wrong way, etc. I would give those people some bombastic side-eye! There are techniques that will work better for creating certain effects, and some tools or processes might work against what you want to create. I've tried to give some tips and tricks to help you avoid those roadblocks. But at the end of the day, makeup is fun, it's playtime, and YOU need to create YOUR drag look and persona!
