I love the combination of filth and fabulousness, and this shoot with Miranda Roen, circa 2013, is everything! We found that old couch next to a dumpster, drug it into the middle of an alley, and made magic! This was fun to do and I love the images that we came up with. A mix of softness and grit - just like me!
Miranda knew this location with this rusty classic car. It was like senior photos, but taken by John Waters! This is why I love shooting with Miranda: she just gets my wild, queer ideas!
The large curly wig has been retired, but I loved it! It was made by Drag Race contestant from Season 5, Penny Traition, back when she was selling hair on eBay! And the dress is one of many that I've purchased from Morgan Wells over the years!
