"I must confess, I'm a mess for you!" - Brandy

You've seen this look in my candy themed galleries, but I thought it worked perfectly in "The Green Room" at Grandpa's Poolhouse. Brooklyn, the photographer from Dirt Candy Productions, doesn't care for this room; she always says that it's so hard to make anyone look good here. Then how did she create this absolutely stunning little photo story?!

I don't know why I like to include books in so many of my shoots - just doing my part for literacy, I guess! As John Waters has said, "If you go to someone's house and they don't have any books - don't fuck them!" Stephen Graham Jones is one of my favorite horror authors, so I absolutely had to include his book I Was A Teenage Slasher! In one of my first shoots ever at the Poolhouse, I included his fantastic My Heart Is A Chainsaw, so this was a lovely callback.

This was a lot of fun...although I didn't anticipate how much that damn bow on the front of the dress would keep falling down into my face!
