Remember my fabulous interview with filmmaker Heidi Moore in Season 2, Episode 1 of Janessa After Dark? If you missed it, or want to listen again, I’ll leave you a link right HERE. Well, Moore has been working away on a fabulous film festival that’s all about female-directed films that don’t always easily fit into the typical Hollywood blockbuster categories that we’re used to. Coming up January 11-13 in sunny Las Vegas, the festival has a little something for all lovers of indie film!

Medusa Underground Film Festival: It’s a fest made by filmmakers for filmmakers; showcasing strange and unusual films created by women.
The fest takes place January 11-13 2019
Friday January 11th takes place at the Backstage Bar & Billiards. Films and vendors. 8pm to 12am. It’s free to go, and we’re taking donations for Street Teens; a charity that helps homeless teens while they’re still in school.
Saturday January 12th & Sunday January 13th at the Artisan Hotel in Las Vegas.
Two full days of underground films. Saturday evening we have a mingling party with DJ entertainment provided by Cinema Therapy. There will be a few surprise events as well.
Sunday Brunch January 13th at the Thunderbird Boutique Hotel
This is a networking event hosted by Women In Media. This is a great opportunity to get to know eachother and get involved with all the awesomeness Women In Media has to offer.

And as if three days celebrating amazing films wasn’t enough, Moore also believes in creators helping and supporting each other! Sunday morning will feature a networking brunch at the Thunderbird Boutique Hotel, hosted by Women in Media! Participants will have an opportunity to get to know each other, network and talk about their upcoming projects, and learn more about the awesomeness that Women In Media has to offer!
